シュワーバッハテストは、リネ検査の一種であり、聴力検査として用いられます。検査では、反対側の耳をマスクし、振動する鳴動フォークの茎をまず患者の乳様突起に、その後検査者の乳様突起に当てます。患者がより長く音を聞く場合は伝音性難聴、検査者が長く音を聞いた場合は感音性難聴を示唆します。
