As I turned into Cyprus Avenue, which is a broad, shady boulevardlike street, with large houses set well back in mature gardens, I stopped to take in the scene, imagining the adolescent world of Van Morrison captured by his song and catching glimpses of the center of Belfast through the branches of the trees forming an arch over the road.
