KPSS test

(econometrics) A test used for testing a null hypothesis that an observable time series is stationary around a deterministic trend (i.e. trend-stationary) against the alternative of a unit root.

（計量経済学）観測された時系列データが決定論的傾向を中心として定常であるか（すなわちトレンド定常であるか）を、対立仮説として単位根が存在することに対して検定するための検定方法。

Before concluding that the series contains a unit root, we applied the KPSS test to check for trend-stationarity.
