Nobili's rings
Coloured rings formed upon a metal plate by the electrolytic disposition of copper, lead peroxide, etc. They may be produced by touching with a pointed zinc rod a silver plate on which is a solution of copper sulphate.
金属板上に、銅や鉛の過酸化物などが電解析出により析出して形成される、色付きのリング。具体的には、銅硫酸塩の溶液が施された銀板に、先の尖った亜鉛棒を接触させることで生成される現象を指す。
