Dodgson's method

A voting system by which each voter submits an ordered list of all candidates according to personal preference (from best to worst). The winner is the candidate for whom we need to perform the minimum number of pairwise swaps (added over all candidates) before they become a winner according to the Condorcet method.

ドッジソン法とは、有権者が自分の好みに応じて候補者すべてを最高から最低まで順序付けたリストを提出し、そのリストを基に、各候補者に対してコンドルセ方式で勝者となるために必要な最小の対候補者スワップ回数の合計が最も少ない候補者を選出する投票方法です。

During the workshop on electoral systems, the professor demonstrated how Dodgson's method determines the winner by minimizing the total number of pairwise swaps needed to produce a Condorcet winner.
