Ettrick sits amid rolling farmland in Kyogle Council, where mornings are often misty and quiet.

During our trip to the Scottish Borders, we followed Ettrick Water as it wound through the valley and joined the River Tweed between Selkirk and Galashiels.

Ettrick and Lauderdale was where generations of shepherds managed their flocks, its glens and hillpaths still echoing with local history.
