A comparison of the three maps in Figure 1 shows that the ecological security of Wuhan from 1996 to 2006 deteriorated. However, the trend strengthened from 2006 to 2010. Jiangxia District underwent the most significant changes, transitioning from high-risk to medium-, low- and relatively low-risk. Caidian District is in second place.
