命令オブジェクトの発生源と、一連の処理オブジェクトが連鎖的に処理を引き受けることで、処理の委譲を実現する振る舞いデザインパターン。 / 各オブジェクトが処理可能かどうか判断し、適切な処理責任者へと処理を移譲することで、柔軟な応答や拡張性を実現する設計手法。

GUIのリクエスト処理を設計する際、責任の連鎖パターンはコマンドを複数の処理オブジェクトに順に渡し、いずれかが処理するまで続けることを可能にします。
