spongebag

I had an aunt who used to stand on her spongebag in a cupboard under the stairs during bad storms and very much admired her combination of scientific knowledge with strong common sense.[…]So in future I hope to have the moral courage to act as instinctively as a fish and as wisely as an aunt, merely substituting gumboots, as being a shade more manly than spongebags.
