Malaysianize

Although foreign missionaries have traditionally been significant in the history of Malaysian Christianity, this changed when the Malaysian government restricted the stay of foreign missionaries to no longer than ten years in the early 1970s through the Second Malaysia Plan in an effort to Malaysianize the country.
