A group of onmitsu, government-employed undercover agents, established by the 8th Tokugawa shogun, Tokugawa Yoshimune (1684–1751). Sometimes described as ninja.

To be clothed in furs and ride in a carriage drawn by well fed horses. That is, the outfit in which rich people dress when they go out.
