Today Arabic must be regarded as one of the important world languages. Its earliest written forms are provided by pre-Islamic North and East Arabian inscriptions using a variant of the South Arabian monumental script. The attested dialects are Liḥyānite or Dedanite in Hedjāz, Thamūdic in north-eastern Hedjāz, Safaitic in southern Syria and Jordan, Hasaean in the oasis of al-Hāsa’, and Nabataean Arabic, represented by a few inscriptions in Aramaic script.
Interestingly, range restrictedness, i.e. the alternative estimation of endemism examined in this study, was not found to be significantly related to plant vulnerability.

We conduct zircon double dating (U-Pb and FT) for granitic gneiss bodies from the Chinmen area (central PDMB) and dioritic plutons in the ZIC (southern SCMB) in two sides of the Changle-Nanao fault. Results reveal a very fast cooling of the ZIC plutons after magmas emplaced at ~100 Ma which matches the field observations that they were very shallow intrusives.
