抗腫瘍活性を有する抗生物質。化学式はC₅₂H₇₆O₂₄で、Streptomyces属の細菌（Streptomyces argillaceus、Streptomyces tanashiensis、Streptomyces plicatus）により生成され、DNAの転写および複製を阻害する作用を持つ。主に精巣の悪性腫瘍や、進行した悪性腫瘍に伴う高カルシウム血症・高カルシウム尿症の治療のために、静脈内投与される。
