The red-claw freshwater crayfish (Cherax quadricarinatus), which, as an ecological equivalent to native freshwater crabs, could potentially threaten the place of Singapore's endemic freshwater crab species; and the South American pumpwood tree (Cecropia pachystachya), which may compete with the very similar native pioneer trees in the genus Macaranga.
