伝統的な中国医学で「肺を冷やし、咽頭の不快感を和らげ、疫病の邪を取り除き、咳を鎮める」とされる黒丸薬。肺と胃の重度の熱、流行性感染症、発熱、めまい、手足の痛み、多量の痰を伴う咳、喉の痛み、鼻血、喀血、口と舌の乾燥などの治療に用いられる。結合剤は蜂蜜。
