Arterial, mixed venous, and mesenteric venous PO 2, PCO 2, and pH were measured with an ABL5 blood gas analyzer (Radiometer, Copenhagen, Denmark), and hemoglobin and oxygen saturation with an OSM3 cooximeter calibrated for sheep blood (Radiometer).
