クジラの一種で、英語で“pilot whale”と呼ばれるマイルカ科の大型のハクジラ。主に2種（オキゴンドウとヒレナガゴンドウ）を指す。 / 群れを成して行動し、しばしばイルカ類と混同されることもある中型〜大型のクジラ。
