Blast after blast, fiery outbreak after fiery outbreak, like a flaming barrage from within,[…]most of Edison's grounds soon became an inferno. As though on an incendiary rampage, the fires systematically devoured the contents of Edison's headquarters and facilities.

These servers host many types of gameplay, from minigames, to spleefing (my favorite), to PvP (I'm terrible at Player-vs-Player battles), to fractions, to Survival, to Creative . . . It's amazing what people have created with Minecraft, and these many, many servers are evidence of the creative potential Minecraft offers those with imaginative minds.
