Ch'ü-fou

There are rumours that the state subsidies hitherto granted at regular intervals for the upkeep of the great sage's temple and tomb at Ch'ü-fou will perhaps be withdrawn, and that in the state schools and colleges reverence is no longer to be paid to the canonised representative of Chinese civilization and moral culture.
