Luttinger liquid
(physics) A theoretical model describing interacting electrons (or other fermions) in a one-dimensional conductor (e.g. quantum wires such as carbon nanotubes). Such a model is necessary because the commonly-used Fermi liquid model breaks down for one dimension.
