egg-crating

The soffit over the windows and arcade is of uninterrupted egg-crating.

For the egg-crating, 2x4's proved adequate, as likely they would have for the wall railing; but greater leaway [sic] was provided and proved fortunate since there was a slight pitch from the house roof to the wall.

These little plants that I top-water sit on egg-crating which is atop a capillary mat.
