(英国法の古語)森の中で、クロスボウやロングボウを構え、鹿を射撃するための姿勢、または、枝の近くでグレイハウンドとともに待機している状態を指す。この状態は、国王の鹿窃盗を意図したと疑われる場合の四つの推定の一つとして用いられた。
