火災避難などの目的で、登降や移動に安全性を持たせるために、ロープに均等な間隔で施されるオーバーハンドノット（単結び）の連なり。帆船ではジブブーム脚縄などにも利用され、フィラデルフィア結びとも呼ばれる。
