プログラマーが、自分が得意とする言語に対する基準を持つ結果、機能がシンプルな言語は必要な重要機能に欠けると感じ、逆に高機能な言語は不要または奇妙な機能が付加されていると感じる現象を指す。 / 自分の熟知している言語を基準とし、機能が控えめな言語は不十分と見なし、過剰な機能を持つ言語に対しては余計または稚拙な設計がされていると評価するプログラマー心理の一種
