分散システムにおいて、コミット操作（トランザクションの確定処理）を2段階に分けて実施する方式。まず、各コンポーネントに対して変更の適用可能性を確認し、すべてが承認した場合にのみ実際のコミット（変更の確定）を行い、いずれかが承認しなければ中断する。 / 分散トランザクション管理において、最初の段階で各参加者に対してコミット可能性の確認を行い、全員がコミット可能と回答した場合にのみ、第２段階として実際の変更の確定を実施するコミット手法
