『Yerba Buena』は、カリフォルニア州サンフランシスコ半島の北東端付近に1776年6月29日に創設された歴史的なスペイン人入植地の名称であり、メキシコ-アメリカ戦争中にアメリカ軍に奪取され、1847年1月30日に『San Francisco』と改名された。
