「masked man fallacy」とは、ある一方の記述によって物事を知っている（または知らない）という事実から、別の記述に対しても同様の認識があると判断する誤謬を指します。例えば『私は父親が誰かを知っているが、マスクをした男が誰かは知らない。だから、父親はそのマスク男ではない』という推論が該当します。
