racking bend

「racking bend」とは、太さが大きく異なる2本のロープやラインの末端を結合するために用いられる結び方の一種です。具体的には、細いロープやコードを、太いロープのループ（bight）や、2本の股の間に編み込み、各通しごとにしっかりと引き締めることで、安定した結び目を形成します。この技法は他の多くの結び目や結束技法の基礎としても利用されます。
