ギリシャ神話に登場する人物で、アサマ王の娘。彼女は、兄弟のフリクソスとともに継母イノから逃れるため、黄金の雄羊に乗ってコルキスへ向かったが、途中で雄羊から落ち、溺死したとされる。その死に因んで、彼女の名前が冠された海峡(ヘレースポント)の名称が生じた。
