Japanese Meaning
公衆電話の一種で、主に飲食店や商店などに設置されていた、灰色またはグレーの筐体をした電話機。料金の精算を店側が一括して行う仕組みになっていたため、利用者は硬貨の投入やテレホンカードなしで通話でき、通話料金は店で精算された。1980年代から1990年代にかけて広く普及したが、携帯電話の普及などによりほとんど姿を消した。
