I bid farewell both to Liu and the engineer at Kuangfu, the first of the line's major southbound stops, and later headed on to Juisui. A thriving tourist center, Juisui is famous as a launch point for whitewater rafting on the Hsiukuluan River (秀姑巒溪), but there are also plenty of things to do in town. One of the more well-known of these is the Juisui hot spring.
