The clauses ¬p∨q, ¬p∨¬q∨r, and ¬p∨¬q∨¬r∨s are examples of definite clauses. At least in classical logic these would be equivalent to the formulae p→q, (p∧q)→r, and (p∧q∧r)→s, respectively.
