I know not how often I have had ocasion, during my life, when speaking of Romanesque or Gothic objects, to employ such adjectives as "odd," "quaint," "weird," "strange," "wild," "freakish," " antique," and " irregular ; " but I am very certain that if they could be concentrated or monogrammatized in a single word, it would be exactly the one needed to describe the rare old town of Nuremberg.
