A further change in December 2020 will be to extend the Leicester to Lincoln service through to Grimsby every other hour. At present the bi-hourly Grimsby service generally runs through to Newark Northgate; instead EMR will run a shuttle to Lincoln alongside the LNER Azumas through to King's Cross to create two trains in each direction every two hours between Lincoln and Newark Northgate.
