CB1R reporter gene assay and forskolin-stimulated cAMP accumulation assay in CHO-hCB2R cells demonstrated that administration with each hinokiresinol results in antagonism for CB1R and CB2R with IC 50 values in micromolar ranges (Fig 1B).
