Most of the body is a uniform medium-grained diabasic gabbro, but a variant exposed over several square kilometres in the northeastern part of the body consists of coarse-grained coronaed-olivine gabbro and norite with inclusions of harzburgite and amphibole lherzolite. See corona (noun sense 9).
