The smallest of the Northern breeds, the Pomeranian is a four-legged fluffball with its thick double coat, small pointed ears, and bushy curled tail up over its back.

In some areas, such as the north-central shore, the historic level was achieved as early as 6000 RCYBP, whereas in other areas, stable levels approximating the modern were not achieved until 4000 RCYBP or slightly thereafter.
