Thus the unendurable burden on the temples was lightened. For instance, the annual surtaxes of Buddhist temples' landholdings of Hsia-p'u county which had amounted to 515 taels in the late Ming dropped to 309 taels after Ch'ien-lung's edict, and to 229 taels soon afterwards.

But we can no longer regard the mere fact of these diffuse condensations of the lung becoming yellow and caseous as an evidence of their tuberculous nature, especially since the pathological anatomists, and among them Virchow, have shown that formations of the most different kind, having not the slightest connection with tubercule— as, for example, old cancerous masses, lymphatic glands swollen by a hyperplasia of cells, hæmorrhagical infarctions, abscesses, &c.— undergo exactly the same caseous transformation.

Based on the requirements above and the problems of the traditional solutions we have created a concept called the Data Lake to describe an optimal solution. If you think of a datamart as a store of bottled water – cleansed and packaged and structured for easy consumption – the data lake is a large body of water in a more natural state. The contents of the data lake stream in from a source to fill the lake, and various users of the lake can come to examine, dive in, or take samples.

This warming is also implied by the decreasing percentage of cryophilous pollen taxa like Ericaceae and climbing trend of the δ 18 O curve in other paleoclimate records of the East Asia (Fig 6), when the summer insolation is increasing.
