My stickshift has broken.

The enormous elephant, the tall giraffe, and the stately ostrich, being found in the same spot with a species of mouse, called the black-streaked, weighing only a quarter of an ounce; the zenik, an animal only three inches in height; and the creeper, a bird not much larger than a cherry.

Fortunately, Dr. H. P. Chu, the Director of the National Shanghai Medical College at Koloshan, some 20 miles outside Chungking, extended an invitation to me to become a Visiting Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the College, and to as many of our students as wished to join the College.
