recursive descent
(computing theory) A kind of top-down parsing involving a set of mutually recursive procedures, each of which implements one of the non-terminals of the grammar, so that the structure of the parser program closely mirrors that of the grammar.
A parlor game in which participants invent definitions for an unfamiliar word found in a dictionary, and as one person reads them out, the others try to guess which one is the correct definition.
(zoology) Any sea slug in the family Stiligeridae, a synonym of the Limapontiidae.
