(physics) A differential operator which may be expressed as ∂_𝜇∂^𝜇=∑_(𝜇=0)³∂/∂x^𝜇∂/∂x_𝜇; it is the four-dimensional (Minkowski space) equivalent of the three-dimensional Laplace operator.
