Gurney flap

A small tab projecting from the trailing edge of a wing, used on racecars and aircraft.

Japanese Meaning

翼の後縁から突き出た小さな翼状の突起で、主にレースカーや航空機に装着され、空力特性の向上などに利用される。

The racing team adjusted the Gurney flap to improve downforce on the rear wing before the final laps.

最終ラップ前にレーシングチームはダウンフォースを高めるため、リアウィングの後縁に突き出した小さなタブを調整した。
