木材を食害する甲虫の総称。Lyctinae亜科に属し、約70種存在し、内部を食べることで木材から粉状の残渣（おがくず）を生じる。

アンティークのオーク製チェストで、コクヌストモドキ亜科に属する木材を食べる甲虫の食害が見つかり、板の下に溜まった細かい木くずがそれを示していた。
