(mathematics) A function that maps a real number to the smallest integer that is no smaller than it.

Japanese Meaning

実数を、その実数以上の最小の整数に写す数学的関数。通常は「天井関数」と呼ばれる。

多くのアルゴリズムでは、実数をそれ以上の最小の整数に写す関数である天井関数が、データセットをプロセッサに分配するときに必要な完全な単位数を決定するために使われます。
