筋肉が伸長されながら収縮し、テンション（張力）を発生させる現象。いわゆる“伸張性収縮”とも呼ばれる。

During downhill running, an eccentric contraction in the quadriceps helps control knee flexion and absorb impact.

下り坂を走るとき、大腿四頭筋の伸張性収縮は膝の屈曲を制御し衝撃を吸収するのに役立つ。
