（船舶用語）航行中の船を停止させ、位置を保持するために、ジブを逆向きにしてマストの前で風を受け、メインセイルを風上に向ける操作を行うこと。 / （航海技法）重い波浪の中で船の動きを抑え、安定させるために意図的に帆の角度や向きを調整して待機状態に入ること。
