船舶が一時的に停泊するための場所。港の一角や湾内など、比較的安全に錨を下ろして泊まることができる区域。 / 白い布地。また、模様や色などが何も施されていない下地としての布地や紙面、土地のこと。転じて、経験や知識の少ない人をたとえていうこともある。 / 知的能力の発達が著しく劣っていること、またそのような人をさす語。ただし現代では差別的・侮蔑的な表現とされ、使用は避けられる。
