歴史的なデヴォン式レスリング。19世紀に人気を博したレスリング形式で、硬化させた履物を用いて相手を蹴ることが許されたもの。

教区の祭りでは、観衆は出場者がデヴォンシャー流の蹴りを伴うレスリングで組み合うと歓声を上げた。硬い履物での蹴りが一撃一撃を決定打にしていた。
