(grammar) A verb that has the same subject as the preceding verb.

Japanese Meaning

前の動詞と同じ主語を共有する、主語省略型の活用形。つまり、明示された主語を持たず、直前の動詞の主語を受け継ぐ動詞の活用パターンを指す。

多くの文法書は、このような動詞を説明するために「前の動詞と主語を共有する動詞」という用語を用いている。
